Moab Lions Park

Set in a unique location near the Colorado River with sandstone cliffs rising on all sides, Lions Park greets visitors as they come into Moab. The park also is a gateway to Moab’s trail system along the River. MGB+A worked with Archiplex to tie all site elements together.
Primary site elements include a large open lawn that connects a new pavilion to the river that doubles as a performance venue. Native plantings provide a transition from the manicured lawn to the surrounding desert landscape. Once established, a canopy of shade trees will provide users with respite from the desert heat.
